Our brown eyed girl...

I think it is official that Hannah has big beautiful brown eyes! I love it! Now I can sing the brown eyed girl song to her...

At it again...

Our 2 crazy kids were at it again today. These 2 can get into more trouble than you can imagine. Hannah had gotten into the empty Cheerios box and was playing nicely with it by herself...
...until Molly showed up! You can tell how much Hannah LOVES it when Molly shows up. Seriously though, Molly is definitely her favorite person around here.
Molly, however, decided that Hannah was cramping her style, so she took the box away...
... literally, she grabbed it and ran down the hallway into our bedroom. Hannah is not one to back down though, so she took off after Molly and her highjacked Cheerios box. It took Hannah a few moments to chase Molly down, but when she finally got there Molly got a bit frisky with her (just to show Hannah who's boss!).

So, Hannah then contentedly sat and giggled as Molly ripped the Cheerios box to shreds looking for a small morsel of a Cheerio.

CRAZY KIDS!

Molly's new best friend

Molly and Hannah have always loved each other, but Hannah upped the stakes the other day. As I showed you before, Hannah loves to play in the pantry while I am in the kitchen cooking and cleaning. Well, she got into "the forbidden fruit" the other day and Molly was right in with her encouraging her the whole time.

To Molly's frustration Hannah's little fingers were not nimble enough to open up the container. I think it was the thought that counted for Molly though. She always comes running now when it is meal time for Hannah or when she hears Hannah playing in the pantry.

Well, Hannah has decided that walking is not quite her "thing" yet, so she has not tried it as much the last day or so. She has, however, been standing and letting go much more in the past 2 or so days. I think she is going to work on her balance a bit more before she gives walking "a go." It is all new and exciting for us though so we are enjoying these days.
I am watching a friend's baby today so I will have to post some pictures of Hannah later tonight. Here is a quick picture of Hannah and Papaw from last Friday when Papaw came down to visit.

The day has arrived...

This is for Daddy since he is at work and not here to see it in person.
How incredibly fun is this?!?!

Happy Easter!

Christ is risen indeed!

We had a nice day today as a family and enjoyed some great play time with Hannah. For some reason she has become a giggly little girl the past few days (Whitlarks - she is like Bryce giggly) and we have LOVED every minute of it. She just bursts out laughing all the time now, it is great. So, we spent a lot of time giggling with her today. I can't think of a better way to spend Easter than with our beautiful little girl!

We figured out the day Hannah was born that she has ticklish feet like her daddy. Ever since then she has always been ticklish on her feet. So, we took advantage of that tonight (as we have many nights before) and captured it on video. You can also see a glimpse of her top 3 teeth in this video, but I thought I would post a better picture below. At least as good of a picture as I can get of a busy baby who doesn't want to show her pearly whites off to the world. She looks completely different with top teeth now! She looks much more like a growing girl and less and less like a baby.

Don't you just love this face?

We're getting closer...

Weekend with Mimi

We had a great weekend with Mimi here and we were sad to see her go today. Hannah really enjoyed her time with her Mimi too. Hannah had Mimi running all over the house after her - I tell you, she is a BUSY little girl.

I wanted a picture of Hannah, Jason, and Mimi...and this was perfect.
I love this one too! Hannah looks like she is saying "that's my Mimi!"
Hannah playing with Mimi's suitcase and laughing at Mimi.
Thanks for coming out Mimi, it was great!

Thanks Aunt Laura!!!

Aunt Laura sent Hannah this adorable little outfit that she made herself! WOW! She has become an amazing seamstress in a very short period of time. This outfit is fully lined and has cute little buttons in the back. Seriously, I am very impressed! THANK YOU AUNT LAURA! So, here is Hannah strutting her stuff (well, not really) in her new outfit.

We are having a great time with Mimi out here. Hannah had a BLAST in the tub this morning while Mimi was bathing her. I have never heard her giggle so much in the bathtub. Too cute!

My little dish washer

Hannah has become fascinated with the dishwasher lately. The kitchen has quickly become one of her favorite rooms to be in and she has zeroed in on the dishwasher. Anytime it is open she rushes over to it and begins touching/pulling/playing/yanking on anything and everything she can get her little hands on. Let's hope she will be a good dish cleaner when she grows up...maybe this will be one of her favorite chores...well, I can always hope, right?

"I'm checking out the job you did, Mama. I have to make sure all the dishes are clean and stacked correctly."
"Put the soap right in here."
"Uh Oh, looks like you missed a spot on that dish!"
"Here let me help you put these things in here correctly."

10 months!

Hannah is 10 months old today! Can you believe that she will be one in 2 short months! She is growing like a weed and does new and different things almost every day. She looks so much older each and every day and loks completely different with 3 top teeth. Here are some shots I got today of our growing girl.

New tricks

Hannah has been giving high fives and waving for a couple of weeks now, but I have been unable to capture it on video until this morning. It is so cute to look across the room at her and have her wave at you. This girl knows how to melt our hearts!

By the way, Jason is also showing his 'super-secret-father-daughter' handshake along with the high fives.

When we put Hannah in bed now she often plays quietly by herself in the crib for awhile before she actually goes to sleep. She has always been really good about this. However, this usually means she has to get herself down from a standing position so that she can finally lay down and go to sleep. This usually ends with her laying in some funky position. I often go in to move her around so she does not get some wierd kink in her back from folding herself up. So, here she is after she finally got tired and "laid" down. It looks terribly uncomfortable to me!Here she is about 20 minutes after I went in and unfolded her. She loves to scrunch up a blanket under her head and sleep on it...it is really cute. I don't know at what age kids begin using pillows, but she has come up with her own form of a pillow on her own.By the way, Hannah seems to be feeling much better today. She has not had any more fever and is acting much more "normal." So, hopefully we are on the mend here.

Cox what?!?!

So, we got home yesterday afternoon and went straight to the doctor here only to find out that Hannah has coxsackie virus and an ear infection. Wonderful, huh? By the way, the doc said that coxsackie is a farely common virus in kids, and is similar to the flu in some ways. He actually did a strep and flu test on her since she was showing some of those symptoms (they were both negative). She has ulcers in the back of her mouth so she is not eating much right now. They said those are quite painful and take several days to heal. She spiked a temp in CA of 102.7 and it bounced up and down so the doc wanted us to come and see him. That is all on top of cutting 4 teeth! Poor little baby!
Anyway, I have some pictures of our time in CA, so I thought I would share them. Since Hannah is sleeping now I finally have time. By the way, you can always tell when she is sick because she sleeps alot. She went to bed at 7pm last night and did not stir until about 8am this morning (and that was because I finally went and got her).
Hanging out in downtown San Francisco by the bay...it was a gorgeous day too!

Hannah had never been able to pet a cat before, so she enjoyed getting to know Gramma and Grandpa's cat, Chanel.

Hannah got some new clothes over the weekend, including this cute little dress. So, here she was looking out the back door.
I don't know why, but I think this is the cutest little picture of her. She looks so big and old here.

Teething stinks...

Well, while here in CA, I noticed that not only was Hannah cutting her top two teeth, but also the top 2 incisors (is that what they are called?). She officially has 3 top teeth now that are through the gums and we are waiting on the fourth. This will make for a total of 6 teeth!!! Crazy! Anyway, she has been miserable to say the least. I am also not quite sure why, but these 4 teeth have caused MAJOR diaper rash and last night she had enough! Why does teething cause diaper rash anyway...I have never figured this out? I feel so bad for her knowing that she is in pain and there is not much I can do about it. So, please pray for our "little chomper" in these coming days, especially as we fly home tomorrow.
Pictures will be coming soon, hopefully tomorrow night when I get home.

Hannah and I are in CA this weekend visiting Gramma and Grandpa. It has been beautiful out here and we are enjoying our time with grandparents. I will post pictures of our time here when we return next week, but until then here are some pictures from last week of Hannah in her new sun hat.

This is the classic "shy" face that she uses to get her daddy to do what she wants...it works EVERY time. He's a softy!Silly Hannah!

Joy

One of the things that I love about Hannah crawling and pulling up is when she crawls up to me and pulls up on my legs. I love looking down and seeing her sweet face as she looks up at me. It brings me utter joy and delight to see this face.
