As promised

I told everyone that (eventually) I would post some pictures of Jason and I as babies so everyone could see who Hannah looks most like. I don't know if this changes anyones opinion about who she looks like, but you can check it out for yourself. Let me know if this sways you to my side (not that I care or anything...).
There is a video coming soon.

Aunties

It was great to introduce Hannah to her Aunt Kacy and Alair. They have been loving on her all weekend and it delights my heart!

See my new outfit

Aunt Alair gave Hannah a cute new outfit with a hat...it was adorable. So, here she is in her new outfit hanging out with the family.

Sorry for the delay

We are currently out of town and visiting my brother, sister-in-law, their kids, and my best friend at my dad's house. Don't worry, we have plenty of pictures to show and I will post them when we get home. We are having a blast though, and next year Hannah will actually be able to play with her cousins instead of just watch them from a distance.

So exciting!

We went to the store the other night to buy some little toys for Hannah. She was overjoyed and delighted by the keys we gave her. I am sure she was marveling at the thought of what all her new keys went to...possibly a car, the house, maybe a boat. That is until her joy was dashed when we told her the truth.

What?!?

We had to tell Hannah the sad truth that her keys did not open anything but our hearts. She was less than impressed.

You should all be proud

Everyone who knows me knows that I am not a "girly" girl. But, I could not resist the urge (however small) to put a pink bow and a pink overall skirt on Hannah and take pictures. The top picture has to be one of my favorites yet. So, enjoy this moment because I am not sure how often it will happen again. But, since she is SO cute in this I might cave and do this more often.

Babbling video

Here is the promised video of Hannah as she is beginning to talk. I have to explain one of the comments on the video before you watch it as I realize that not everyone will get it. Jason was introduced to the heavy metal band "Demon Hunters" by his brother Michael (thanks alot Michael) and he loves singing the songs (even as indistinguishable as they sound). He began singing one song to Hannah today and she loved it! She smiled and laughed at him the whole time. So, that is where the Demon Hunter commment comes from.
Anyway, enjoy listening. This is such a sweet sound!

Hannah has been talking alot more lately, so I plan on getting a video together later today or tomorrow. These have been sweet days!

Update

We went to the doctor yesterday for Hannah's 2 month checkup and shots. She now weighs 12lbs 1oz and is 23.5in long! He said she looks good and is growing well. She did not like her shots at all, but she took them like a champ. Thankfully we did not have any fever and for the most part she had a good rest of the day (sorry HG, it seems you always get the 1 crying spell of the day). She is continuing to babble and coo alot and smiles all the time. She began to look at her hands 2 days ago and finds them absolutely fascinating. It is really comical to watch! She is getting more neck control and will hopefully be holding it up with ease in no time. We get much joy in watching her these days and it is amazing to see how quickly she is growing and learning new skills.

We got a new camera this week, so these pictures were our attempt at learning how to use it. It will take some time, but hopefully it will take better pictures of Hannah.
Tomorrow morning she will get her 2 month shots...ICK! Let's pray that she responds well and does not have a rough day.

Great Pictures

Jason's cousin Kristin took these photos on Saturday. Aren't they incredible?! She took close to 100 photos of us and these are some of them. I will be posting more as the days go by. That is also where the hand picture on the right came from. She did an awesome job and I know we will treasure these pictures.

Travels

We made it to Birmingham on Thursday after 14 hours of driving. It went very well and Hannah did great! The worst part was the rain that we encountered along the drive...I think we might need to trade in our car for a boat for the return trip home. I have some pictures posted below to show our adventures from the last few days. We went today to Atlanta to meet Hannah's new cousin Bryce and had a great time visiting. So far, Hannah has been a great traveler and that has been a huge blessing.

Out of town

We are heading to Birmingham tomorrow for some family time with the Whitlarks. I will do my best to post some pictures while we are there, but I can't promise much until we return. Please pray that our drive tomorrow (it will be about 12 hours) will go smoothly with Hannah. We (probably mostly me) had a bit of a rough day today so I am hoping that tomorrow is better.

Note to self...

Do not eat any more chocolate while nursing! I gave into my desire to have a juicy Twix bar and I (and Hannah) paid for it. Hannah had 2 bouts of projectile vomiting (and I really mean projectile!) last night and this morning. Being the sweet, loving child that she is, she chose to share that with her Mama. So, this meant she barfed ALL over me...TWICE! It was not particularly pleasant for either of us. I have to say, seeing your infant do that evokes much compassion in me. She is so calm about it too. Last night she was fussy for awhile then after she threw up she fell immediately asleep (in my arms which were covered in vomit!). I guess she felt better so it was time to sleep. Anyway, the sleeping child had to be awoken to be cleaned off and get a change of clothes. So, no more chocolate for awhile for me. BUMMER!

A new video

We took some videos of Hannah today so I made a quick movie with them. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Just Hanging Out

Here is Hannah hanging out in her crib. It shows how long and lean she is. She has really grown in length over the last few weeks, it is amazing.
She is still doing great sleeping through the night and is a champion napper as well.

Check out my cool jeans!

After going through Hannah's clothes last night to see what we have, we found these jeans and had to try them on for size. They were a little big on her, but we could not resist putting her in her first pair of jeans. She has really just worn onesies up until this point, so it was funny to see her in pants. Anyway, she was really cute in them and I plan to put them on her more often now. She is growing SO fast! By the way, she slept 8 hours last night and the night before...I now am beginning to remember what a full night of sleep feels like. I feel human again.
